We installed a concrete overlay floor coating with updated silver-grey tones and a wood look. The existing carpet needed to be removed first which was no easy task considering over 5,000 people a week traverse the carpet so there was plenty of glue! Once the carpet was taken up there was still a mountain of leftover glue! This need to be grinded off to get the floor to smooth clean concrete! Also, problem areas needed to be patched and filled.

This project was on a strict timeline and needed to be completed in two days. Therefore long hours were necessary. Once the prep work was done a base coat of concrete was applied. After that dried, the texture coat was hand troweled down. Then color and a super fast drying polyaspartic clear gloss topcoat. That made it possible to be put back into service in a matter of hours so other trades could continue their work. The silver gray color was used on the main lobby and hall. In the coffee shop a wood look concrete was chosen.
